VERM, the Swedish brand for premium outdoor cooking, today presents its latest product: Asado by VERM - a handmade asado grill that combines the Argentine tradition of fire cooking with Scandinavian design philosophy and the highest quality Swedish materials.
The grill has been developed by a dedicated team consisting of Jonas Deibe, blacksmith Daniel Fehler, designer Christian Engene and Argentine star chef Florencia Abella, who is the head chef at the Michelin-awarded restaurant Ekstedt in Stockholm. Together, they have created a grill that fills a void in the market - a product for those looking for authentic fire cooking without compromising on quality or sustainability.

Argentine fire tradition meets Swedish craftsmanship
Florencia Abella grew up in Campana outside Buenos Aires in a family deeply rooted in the tradition of cooking over an open fire. Her father taught her the art of asado - how to tame fire and transform it into a culinary philosophy where fire is not just a method but the very heart of a gastronomic experience. Today, as head chef at Ekstedt in Stockholm, she has made a name for herself exclusively cooking over Swedish wood and an open fire.
In her collaboration with VERM, Abella has contributed her unique expertise - an understanding of fire, embers and smoke that few other chefs in Scandinavia possess. Her book Asado, published by Natur & Kultur, has inspired thousands of Swedes to discover the Argentine grill tradition. Now she has helped shape a grill that makes it possible to practice that tradition at home.
